First Phase Opening of The School
On the 20th February 2008 the official Opening of the First Phase of the School project Pararel Wee Wini was held in Sumba Kere Mareda.
The German sponsors and a delegation of the Rotary Club Kuta incl. the project commitee where greeted on the Airport Tambulaka by the Bupati (Mayor) of the Region Sumba Mr. Emmanuel Eha the Head of the local Parliament Mr. Hugo Rehi Kalembu and other Government officials.

The Ribbon was cut by the Project Chairman together with the Bupati.
All Government and private attendants where impressed by the overwhelming friendliness and the outstanding preparation work done by the schoolmaster Mr. Renigius Bulu Dapa Loka, the teachers and the 257 school children, which showed their gratitude in singing and traditional dance performances. It was a great pleasure to look into their happy faces with the big brown eyes.

In the opening speech the Project Chairman PP. Consul R. Jantzen the founder of the project, and the Rotary Club President Rtn. Peter Henes thanked the sponsors, and the on the spot assistance, given by HOPE especilally by Mrs Ann.
The First project Phase was opened, and the Second Phase construction work was inspected. The sponsors where satisfied and happy with the project results which were presented in front of them.

On the spot additional financial input was secured from the German sponsors to anable the continuation of the planed project building activities. It was mentioned that some construction work on the road to the school facilities should be included.
It was mentioned that the Health improvement of the school children by providing special designed nutrishinal enriched meals should be included in the next project activities. The project kitchen is ready to be used but for purchasing the food and ingreadience additional funding is neccessary.
The opening ceremony was closed with a Dinner Invitation in the Residence of the Bupati.
