The 120 new school children of Kalembeke received a very generous Christmas present. The Main Sponsor the company KNOLL from Germany transferred another US$ 20.000,- to the project account.

Due to this, the construction of another much needed 3 classroom is financially secured. Now our "big help on the spot" Mrs. Ann requested new quotations from the already experienced building contractors. Thanks to the help of Mrs. Ann, and after some bargaining, the decision was taken.

We are proud to announce that the construction is now underway and we hope that we can announce the completion of the building in due time, because we purchased most of the building materials already. Also the wood for the furnishing was purchased and the carpenter start working already. This was done, because the prices of the building materials are on the rise.

We believe that the children are already practicing to move out of the bamboo huts into the new building which they can see everyday growing and watch the construction progress.

They are keen to join the other 137 school children who are already in the completed concrete school building. In that buildings all activities are running already normal and there are no known bigger daily problems! Except - there are still not enough teachers available.

Another 3 month salary for a much needed additional school teacher was sponsored and the money transferred to the school.
