Rtn. Gobind Vashdev went to Sumba on Rotary expenses to make some evaluation report. Bellow are the report:

SCHOOL PROJECT

As seen on the pictures taken, the walls for the classes and bathrooms are built already. Some of the workers are now working on the walls for canteen and teacher's room. Other workers are working on leveling the ground because the land is originally uneven and rocky.

These will be the girls bathroom and also the septic tank for sanitary of the bathrooms.

Aside from that, the workers are also seen preparing the wood needed to support the roof. The total number of workers is approximately 30 people.

In my opinion, for this school project everything works just the way Rotary planned it to be. And the local students can hardly wait to occupy their school building.

WATER PROJECT

The water already flows, the water tank is finished and the local people are already making use of it for their daily necessities. The building for the generator and water pump is built; it just needs a finishing touch (painting). This finishing will be done at the same time the school building's finishing.

The things in my concern are the generator and the pump. The generator didn't look like new (please refer to the picture).

And the water that is flowing from the pump wasn't that strong because the existing pump is too small. Local people are hoping that we can replace it with a pump that has a bigger power.

Mr. Linder (donator from Germany) was in Bali for a couple of days with his friends from Germany. They are so happy with the result of the project and his friends showed interest to join this project.
