The electro/magnetic water survey showed 4 possible places. The good news is that the most productive place for water source is located at the existing school area. The available water quantity should be sufficient. The survey report is attached to this e-mail.

A delegation of our Project Committee is departing to Sumba on Friday, 28th April 2006 , to decide the suitable building location for the new school building close to the well.

From the two different water experts who have now located the water source, the well drilling and the construction of the school building can begin. We have been waiting for the second survey result to make sure that enough water is in the school area available, so that the new school building is not "standing above a dry land".

Now the rainy season is going to be over, and it is the ideal time for the construction of the buildings.

We will show you the final construction plan of the school building in the next addition, because some quotations have not yet arrived.

With this planned field trip, 4 participants will hand over school materials for approx. 100 children (sponsored from the Rotary Club Kuta); to the school headmaster and at the same time this gift will be distributed to the students. We will make some photos, and present them to you with the next project up dates.

The committee received several quotations from local Sumba, Lombok and Java.
Contractors for the well and the construction of the building.
The Sumba contractor was selected and soon after the Monsoons season has finished, the drilling will be started. Direct after the successful drilling and successful sufficient new water supply, the construction of the building will follow.
A delegation of the project committee will leave Bali in due time to select the suitable building location in Kalekembe and sign the official documents with the local authorities.
